City Election Absentee Ballot Info

The Absentee Ballot Request form is available online, however there are certain factors to consider:

  • The request form must be mailed or hand-delivered to 17 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787
  • Voters must allow time for the original Absentee Ballot to be mailed to their address after the request form is received; and then time for the Absentee Ballot to be mailed back from the voter to our office. Absentee Ballots are available beginning April 12, 2021 and must be returned to the Clerk’s office by 7:00 PM on May 3, 2021.  Any ballot received after that time will not be counted.

To avoid potential delays, the Absentee Ballot can be placed in the return envelope     and placed in the secure drop box at City Hall, which is emptied every morning

  • Voters can stop by City Hall during the hours of 8:00 and 4:30 to complete the Absentee Request Form and receive the Absentee Ballot in person. Voters can make their selections and then submit the Absentee Ballot immediately.
